When matters relating to the same case occur multiple times on the same date, the court will, without prior notice to the parties, reschedule all earlier matters to be heard alongside the latest matter on that date in the same case.
Motions and Applications to which no objection is filed may granted without a hearing unless a party requests that the Courtroom Deputy call the case in open court.
Hearing Participation Information
Beginning October 1, 2024, parties and attorneys involved in a matter may appear either in-person in the courtroom or remotely by video or telephone in all matters except the following:
- Trials and Evidentiary Hearings;
- Chapter 11 Confirmation Hearings;
- Pretrial Conferences; and
- Any matter designated by the court as one requiring a personal appearance.
Remote appearances must occur using the court's Zoom for Government account information.
Non-case participants may observe a hearing in-person at the Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse.
Any notice of hearing filed on or after October 1, 2024, must include information about the availability of remote participation in hearings by parties and attorneys using Zoom for Government, and must be in the form of LBF 7104-1 or other applicable LBF.

Rules for Zoom Participation by Video:
- Attorneys are expected to appear by Zoom video.
- Advance permission to appear by video is not required.
- Under no circumstance may a Zoom participant record or broadcast the proceedings conducted by the court.
- A participant's appearance by Zoom should include only their first name and last name. Use of alias, firm names, client names, or use of another's person's account is prohibited.
- Participants are required to join the hearing session at least ten (10) minutes prior to the scheduled hearing time.
- Once admitted into a hearing, participants should ensure their audio is muted until their matter is called.
- Background noise is prohibited. As such, avoid attending the Zoom hearing in a public area. Participants causing unwarranted noise may be muted by the court or dismissed from the hearing.
